Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct Policy
To ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all children, families, and staff, parents and guardians are expected to adhere to the following standards while participating in or engaging with the program.
Expectations for Parent/Guardian Conduct
Parents and guardians are expected to:
Communicate with staff in a respectful, calm, and professional manner at all times
Address concerns through appropriate channels and at appropriate times, not during active programming
Refrain from questioning, confronting, or engaging staff in a disruptive or instigative manner, especially in the presence of minors
Respect staff authority, program policies, and operational decisions
Ensure personal or familial matters do not impact program operations or the emotional or physical well-being of children
Model appropriate behavior that aligns with the values of safety, respect, and community
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are not permitted:
Disrespectful, confrontational, or instigative communication toward staff
Disrupting program activities or staff while on duty
Engaging in adult disputes or discussions around minors
Harassment, intimidation, or hostile behavior of any kind
Failure to follow established policies and procedures
Consequences of Policy Violations
Violations of this policy may result in consequences that affect a child’s participation in the program, as follows:
First Infraction: Child may be suspended from program activities for one (1) month
Second Infraction: Child may be suspended from program activities for three (3) months
Third Infraction: Permanent removal of the child from the program
While children are not responsible for adult behavior, parent/guardian actions directly impact the program environment and will be addressed accordingly.
Acknowledgment
By enrolling a child in the program, parents and guardians acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and understand that failure to do so may result in restricted participation.
